I was an early bird on the Kickstarter and I got mine a couple of days ago. I went for the full enchilada. Carry case, both cables and two earpad pairs. There is one disappointment; the carry case. I expected/hoped for hard plastic like the ones for power tools. Unfortunately it feels like a textured cardboard body covered with an extremely thin "soft" plastic wrap.
I have yet to listen way more to say something useful about the headphones, but I have tried them on a headphone test record. I can feel/"hear" the 10 Hz tone :) Very nice. Unfortunately since I am a man in my mid 50's and hence I can only hear up to 11 kHz.
After the very few songs I have had the time to listen to I find that the headphones absolutely aren't bassy. I was quite surprised that Korns album Untouchables were not presented muddy at all(!). I'm not even prepared to describe the presentation as bass heavy(!!). It is very detailed, full, vibrant...and again...very detailed. Marilyn Mansons song (s)aint is presented correctly 3D with the synth bass in the back of your head (fully intended phase inversion). Nine inch nails The big come down is nicely layered indeed. Both gritty and sweet and the Verum 2 handles it with grace. This is probably the best presentation of the album The fragile I have ever heard. Very texture-rich. It is impossible to not get stuck and listen longer than intended.

Everything is tight, detailed, alive, full, natural, layered, textured. The interesting thing this far is that the headphones really lets the music do what it wants to do; dirty and gritty where it is and should be, sweet deep and spacious where it is and should be and so on. They don't smooth over, amplify or hinder anything. There is more "naturalness" than I remember from my Hifiman Arya Stealths and from the Verum 1s. And those two are really, really good headphones.
It really feels like a non-colouring conveyor of the music. Presenting every detail in the material that there is. The headphones are comfortable. Did i mention that it is rich in details? ;)

I am an early bird Kickstarter also and I agree it's an excellent headphone.
I went the basic option (and the box was really bad - but that is a story for my review ) - but which earpads did you use? The basic campaign on kickstarter came with the angled sheep-skin earpads ? How are the hybrid pads? I do like the magnetic "ring" allows easy pad swaps

Have you received your headphones as well?

I used the sheep skin ones. It was comfy. I haven't swapped the earpads and I am not sure if I am going to either. I have the hybrids as a spare part. Yes, that solution is genius.

I just received mine... I have to say, the build and driver quality definitely went up a couple of notches. My old Verum 1 has developed a driver imbalance (probably due to the crinkling of the membrane), plus the right-angled 3.5mm jack has slowly gone bad due to uneven tension. I also like that we now no longer have to unscrew the headband suspension to adjust it.

Sound-wise, it's a huge jump in technicalities from Verum 1, but losing quite a lot of that smoothness and mellow timbre of the original. I would say resolution alone exceeds my daily planar, the Edition XS, albeit with slightly smaller soundstage. Also, this thing loves power, quite a lot of scaling moving from my FiiO M23 to my SMSL stack.

I think this is an excellent pair of headphones, a natural upgrade from Sundara (or even Edition XS to a certain extent).

As far as I know, not yet.
At present all the Kickstarter supporters are getting their headphones.
When these orders will be fulfilled, then I expect to see the Verum-2 in HiFi-shops and online...

Nah. I don't think that they will be in many shops other than Verums own web shop. A couple, sure, but not many. The Verum One was hard to find, and that is a hell of a first product. I had to order mine from Ukraine.

But then again, hifi-shops may be super bad at promoting themselves and their products. What do I know, I'm not in marketing.

The dude's shop appears to have gotten damaged during a Russian missile strike. Probably won't see anything shipped out soon.

Just read his post at Kickstarter (update #33): www.kickstarter.com/projects/verumaudio/verum-2-audiophile-planar-magnetic-headphones/posts/4365029

I cite him as follows:
"Now I'm cleaning the mess, closing windows with plywood etc.
Understanding that chance of that situation is high I stored most sensitive components in various places and even in various cities, not only in Kharkov.
People that assemble headphones also work not only in main building with same purpose - minimize damage after such situation.
Sure this will affect productivity but nothing changed - I've promised to deliver headphones and that promise will be kept.
Thanks for understanding."

The totally ridiculous situation where people worry about a delivery while the people making it are being shelled. You stand to loose a bit of money, they stand to loose their lives and still they are doing there best to fulfil.

Where do you see people worried about a delivery?

Ship dates were slated for last November, I haven’t seen anyone here complain about ship dates for a product that was scheduled to be delivered almost 6 months ago.
