I grab this morning a second vintage HK A401. I'm considering to biamp my wharfedale diamond 8.1 this way :
I'd use one amp by speaker, one channel of the amp for the bass-med, the other one for the highs.
Questions :
1- The A401 is an integrated, is it a problem (others that the two pots will work a bit like a balance knob) ?
2- I'm using 15pairs cat5 speaker wire, set for monowiring. I'd make a pair of wire with 6 pairs for the highs and use the 15pairs set for the lows. Is this a decent ratio ? (the wharfedale is biwiring capable)
Thanks
