I bought the normal Zen 2.0 coz I was curious about it (and do not regret it - sounds good to me) but one consideration to getting the normal version rather than black was because of imminence of Nirvana.

well zen 1.0 is better than 2.0 so it doesnt mean new is better

But Nirvana is in a different category to the zen series so we can't really compare much

I know it is obnoxious when people get a brand new toy and start talking about how great it is. However I just got the Zen 2.0 and so far it seems incredible. I will spend some more time with it before I share more details, but so far wow.

So far only tried on my portable setup. Spotify from my phone into little bear b4 amp. Coincidentally I just got the little bear yesterday and I'm quite pleased with it so far.

Hoping to try from my desk setup today which also is very budget put pretty solid. Smsl Sanskrit DAC into little dot 1+ amp.

I'm pretty interested about the new Shozy BK and how it will stack against the zen 2.0
 
So far the opinion about the zen 2.0 being driven properly out of portable DAP has been split between those that says it will drive properly and those who does not. Thus I'm a bit uncomfortable about buying the zen as I'm not into stacking set up anymore.
