Don’t have the Powerdac v2.1 but the original v2.0.
MegaTRON has a more refined presentation without the loss of technicalities. Less aggressive too. Without the trace upper boosted treble presence too.
The Powerdac V2 is definitely more pocketable and easier to carry around, but loses in flexibility of plugging into to various sources through its USB type B port (MegaTRON has usb c). And also limited to 2.5mm balanced headphone out, where MegaTRON supports both 2.5 and 4.4 balanced output and a 3.5mm single ended.
And if using your smartphone as a source, the MegaTRON supports PD bridge charging which can charge your smartphone while using an external power source.
So in short, size wise, Powerdac V2 wins. Everything else, points go to MegaTRON.
Of course, subjective preference may swing in favour to Powerdac V2 for some users.
PowerDAC V2.1 is highly technical but also very digital sounding. Megatron on the other hand is also very technical but offers realistic more analogue sound and less aggressive - totally free from any Pinna Glare normally observed with E1DA tuning. In short, PowerDAC V2.1 is outright bright and sizzling compared to Megatron

Megatron is the Monk Plus of Dac/Amps, where it hits way above its price point.
Edit: As a bass head I noticed the sub bass slam is a little light. But I am convinced bassheads will appreciate why there is more to life than bass. There is vocals and mids. Megatron in my humble opinion sounds more better in the mids than the Apple dongle. Maybe future improvements can include a bass boost switch like Xbass.
Megatron + French songs = say la vie
People prolly couldn't get the name of this song because they're not French.
