I'm looking for a good quality outer-canal phone for around $50 or less. By outer-canal I mean a design that doesn't seal deep into the ear but does insert shallowly into the canal opening.
I'm going to buy a pair for my wife and a pair for my sister. Comfort and convenience are key for them.

- The Sony EX-71 is an example but I've had terribly luck with durability on the Sony Fontopia line. Not going back to that well again.
- As far as I can tell, the Sennheiser CX-95 also fits this bill, but I'm not completely sure this isn't a full fledged IEM. A little out of the price range but I'm flexible if there is a clear advantage.
- Creative EP-630 looks like a contender.
- What else?
