Which headphones would be better for rock?

I haven't heard the M80, but I know the mids on the M50 aren't the greatest, and I like having strong mids for my rock. I like my Beyerdynamic DT770 for rock

I have m80s and m50 and for rock I prefer m80 but the m50s are by far a lot more comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. To me the clamp force on the m80s are much stronger and since they are on-ear it bothers me quite a bit after wearing the m80s for a couple of hours.
There is a bit more bass on the m80s. To me the m50s are a bit more flat.
