thinking about changing the cables on my sennheiser hd201 and goldring dr150. don't know much about cables, but what are your thoughts on just using thicker gauge speaker cables? would this be a step in the right direction, or a step back?

My take is, the thicker cables might make the headphones too cumbersome for practical use. IC cables might actually be more suitable as it also serves to carry low-level signals like headphone cables.

Hey,i havent tried it yet,,but i was thinking of recabling a set of Koss KSC75's with cat5 or cat6 computer network cable. I wanna put a clip where the skinny "Y" part of the wire meets the thicker part,so the weight of the wire doesnt tug my ears. Might sound good,i guess ill find out. Ill have to check out the different wire brands and qualities i guess.
