what's a good place to look up and maybe buy an used car?

are most of the stuff on craigslist legit? sites like autotrader, vehix, etc. are mostly from dealerships, from what i've seen.

People leave their hearts there.

And some people have flowers in their hair.

Oh, and I'd check Craigslist for a car. It is Craig's hometown, after all.

My suggestion is that once you've decided on a certain model of car, go and test drive a lot of them. This will give you an idea of how the car SHOULD run, and you'll be able to differentiate between the polished turds and the unpolished gems

carfax.com

Worth having a subscription to check out any car you look at (don't want one damaged by Hurricane Katrina after all).

craigslist may work, but everything from over priced to junk on it.

personally I like using autotrader.com to locate a vehicle, run a carfax report on it and then call/look at it.

good luck!

Could be a trillion places...

cars.com and autotrader.com

dont even waste your time on ebay motors

almost all places that advertise on cars.com and autotrader.com have around $1000-$2000 that they can take off...

make sure to inspect if the car was painted!!!! look for "orange peal", color differences and overspray. just today i almost purchased a car, but it turned out that half of it was painted which decreases value

good luck
