Is the EMU-0202 a good choice for my first DAC ?

Both of my box's have optical out and I have been looking at the Trend's UD-10, Fubar II and it seems the EMU is a great place to start in the 100 to 150 dollar range.

I have Audioengine 5's and a pair of Grado SR80's and am wondering if I should consider some other option that uses optical input.

Will be playing mostly WAV's with WMP 11...Some 320kbs MP3's and some FLAC's.

Really like the specs on the EMU-0202 especially considering the price versus something like the Fubar III.

Any suggestions, feedback or recommendations would be greatly appreciated !!!!!

I haven't heard much on the emu - 202 but the emu - 404 is really good for the price you can get it for and is better than the fubar II as a dac. Although it cost more than your probably wanting to pay right now, it will be worth it down the line. There is one emu 404 I believe in the for sale forum for around 150 dollars.
