I ordered a USB OTG cable to test with my Fiio E7 and Droid X on CM7 and/or Kindle Fire, (word is USB hosting doesn't work on KF yet though). Will update once it arrives... Ordered it like 3 weeks ago already and it just now got shipped since it was from China and their Spring festival is going on.

Now this looks interesting, I am keen to hear the Fiio E17 and Galaxy SII combo success stories.  This would be a sweet set up to untether my listing from my PC.

I'm currently mulling over a Cowon Z2 purchase to replace my battered Sflo2 this might be a better option.

An Android kernel developer is trying to enable the USB audio feature on the Samsung Galaxy S2 (i.e. to allow interoperability between Samsung Galaxy S2 and USB DAC).
He is looking for testers.

I know I've been promoting it,
I think this is good progress, but nowhere near enough. It should be available in standard android packages, end of story.

I'm thinking of getting a M-F cable and trying the E17 when it arrives with my HP Touchpad. I'll have to put ICS on it first though...

Put Cyanogenmod on, im willing to bet money it will work

I haven't seen any option to enable USB host on my Atrix. How are you two ( WiR3D & Shoulon ) so sure?

Are you using stock OS?
you will haveto flash with cyanogenmod, they do implement it, however it is up to the kernel devs to make the final call, so beware. if its not an official CM build then it could give issues (something i haveto keep in mind with my HTC HD2)

Hey, does anybody know if I can use this single cable with an E17 instead of a micro OTG>powered hub>mini B? http://www.fullsourcesecurity.com/products.php?product=Portsmith-190087%252d003-PORTSMITH-USB-CABLE-MICRO-A{47}B-OTG-MALE-TO-MINI%252dB-MALE-REQUIRED-TO-CONNECT-PS6UIUPE-WITH-MOTOROLA-ES400-EDA

I was under the impression that if the E17 doesn't need the extra power from the hub a cable like this might be a neater solution for use with my Touchpad. Otherwise I'll just grab this cable (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005GGBYJ4/) and plug the E17's USB to mini B into it and hope that I don't need to buy a powered hub to boot.
