I've never had any issues from doing that. If you're concerned you could always clip a Radio Shack ferrite core to the end of the USB cable closest to the DAC to filter out RF interference.
Usually not, but sometimes neighbouring usb devices can cause some interference with each other (or if a USB device has an external power supply, such as a hard drive, then that power supply might cause issues as well). If a problem exists, sometimes ferrite beads can help, or even just switching to a different usb plug.
