I find myself in a room with somewhat limited space. I have my computer that I use for listening to and producing music, and a MIDI controller behind where I sit. I'm trying to get my equipment set up so that my headphones cable will reach from the amp to where I sit to use the MIDI controller, and where I sit at the computer. To achieve this I need to move my headphone amp and connected audio interface onto the window sill behind me, and in order to do that they both need longer USB cables (A-C) to reach the computer.

So I've been looking for some suitable cables, but found that there doesn't seem to be many of these types of cables around in the specialised audio equipment shops (at least, not for my budget). Is this because one such cable is much the same as the others when it comes to linking up audio equipment, or are there things I should look out for? I need two 2-3m cables and don't want to go over £80.

Cheers!

The interface (Focusrite Scarlett 4i4) and amp (Schiit Asgard 3) both have USB C sockets; the computer USB As. Both amp and interface were purchased within the past 18 months, or so, so I guess they're using the new USBs.
Interesting, I haven't owned the Asgard but I thought Schiit input cards were USB B. Will have to look into it more.

Between Amazon Basics and Monoprice you can find any length and type needed. All USB cables perform the same if not defective. Those usually have same or next day shipping. I buy cables all the time and they work great.

Dunring: Thanks for the advice, but I'm fussy and despise Amazon, so I avoid using them, and Monoprice's European operation seems to be down at the moment. Fortunately, I have a few options available if there's no particular reason to spend more on fancier cables.

CarbonF1: Again, thanks for the advice! I've been looking at Anker as well as Lindy and C2G. How do you tell whether a cable meets these specifications you mentioned?
