I went from a V6 to a R10 back to the V6 and just got a DT770.
I really like the 770 and prefer it to the V6, but I wish it were a little more impactful in the mids and highs like the V6, and just a tad brighter. However I haven't seen another closed headphone closer to what I want then the DT770 yet.

I was worried, just like you about getting a headphone that sounds like a cheap subwoofer, but I was remarkably surpised how controlled and impactful the bass is.
