I would like to upgrade from HD600, what would the next step up, I mostly listen to pop music and classical, I prefer it be neutral sound, don't want to spend more than $500.
Any advice from experts
Thank you all.

For $500 your looking at more of a side grade, than an upgrade from the HD600's. If you really like the 600's, you can definitely get the 650's for under $500. I believe I saw them on amazon for $429 the other day. Another headphone in that tier would be the Beyerdynamic DT880's. Although coming from the HD600's they are alot more vibrant and faster. They are $279 for the 250 OHM version. I assume you are using them with an amp. Somewhere between the HD650's and the DT880's is the Philips Fidelio X1. They are fast and clear.

In any case, I'd suggest you try 'em all out before you go ahead and spend you hard earned cash.

You could get a used pair of HE-500's, which I would consider a pretty significant upgrade from the HD600's. Do you have anything to drive it with currently?

That's a good option. But for the same reason I was reluctant to suggest the Beyer's i would have by these too. They are very different from the Sennheiser's line. A lot brighter and faster.
