This forum has been incredibly helpful in my newfound love of higher end audio equipment. So, thanks!

I thought I'd ask this question:

I currently have the Westone 3s, but would like to upgrade them. I've been looking at the JH5, Shure se535, and the Westone 4r. I've absolutely loved my Westone 3s, but at times find myself wanting just a little more.

I listen to a lot of acoustic rock, folk rock, etc. (Ray Lamontagne, Jason Mraz, Of Monsters and Men, John Mayer, etc...) but I also enjoy an occasional country bluegrass (Alison Krauss, Zac Brown Band) and Alternative.  That said, I'd like for it to be able to provide an enjoyable Dub Step//Hip-Hop experience if I had that playing.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

B.

Westone 3 and 4 are completely different. I had the 3 but I couldn't get over the mid bass hump and the bass quantity. You should consider customs if you really want to upgrade.
