upgrade from ath-m50's with more mids and deeper bass?

Ok the bass on the m50's has really grown on me I think it is adequite if not a bit much.now. so now all I'm looking for is mids as the mids on the m50's leave much to be desired

Sony MDR-1R emphasis the mids very well.

I've heard the Momentum & they are good. The mids did not sound recessed to me at all. However, I haven't heard the M50 so I don't know how they compare.

I believe the M50 is considered slightly v-shaped, so I would just avoid headphones that have a prominent v-shaped sound signature as that naturally causes the slight recession of mids.

M-audio Q40.

I haven't heard the M-audio Q40 before, but I have read about people rave about it's bass quality. Don't know how the mids are compared to the M50.

What about the V-Moda m80? Joker seemed to really like them especially for the mids. He gave the M80 a higher score than the m50 in his headphone review thread.

I have had both. I still have the Q40 while the M50 was sold. The M50 was an excellent headphone, however I much prefer the Q40 in most respects.

Also in the DT770, on the backside of the driver there is a cap with a little piece of foam behind it. If you remove that, it will improve the highs GREATLY. I tested it out and it worked, but I prefer to keep it on for the bass. If I want to hear the highs better, I just throw on my DT880's
