I bought my ATH-ES7 a little over a year ago and I'm happy with them. I am looking to upgrade to headphones that are more comfortable and bigger. The ES7 don't fit my head the best and become uncomfortable after a hour of use. I use my headphones with my iPod and laptop mostly. I do not need the headphones to be portable. Thanks.

What music do you listen to? What do you like/ don't you like about the ES7? What's your budget?

I listen to bands like Radiohead, Say Anything, Broken Social Scene, Minus the Bear, Death Cab. lol i'm bad at classifying the music I listen to. I guess I would say I listen to rock, alternative, indie music the most. I'm not exactly looking for the same headphone in a full size version. The ES7 does have a little of an unnatural sound with the mids but I dont mind it. I want a headphone that is comfortable for long usage, bigger so it fits my head better, quality that is equal or better than the ES7. I would like to stay $250 or under. i hope that helps. thank you for your quick replies.

Other possible choices at that price point are the Denon D2000 and Ultrasone Hfi780.

You stated in your original post that you wanted more comfort than the ES7 so that's probably why you weren't recommended any Grados...but yeah, Grados would go well with your music tastes...

I have to say that in my opinion Grados and the ES7 are both not the best comfort-wise but in different ways.
