Hello i have read many many thread about an upgrade from akg k518(LE), but i'm not be able to decide what are a good headphone for my.
 
What i whant are this requisites:
 
- Good isolation but not totally, i ride in bicycle but i get underground
- Possibly balance but if sound more bassy are ok, the important thing is not muffle
- In the summer not must burn my ears
- I prefer pads are such  akg 518 or rather over aural (is it right?)
 
For now i'm looking for these models:
 
-Akg k450 80€
-Akg  k619 or without control for volume 107€

there is much difference between JVC HA-S400 and S500?

i'd say for stock, if u like bass, S500 is way to go. if u like more balanced sound, S400. 
S500 can be balanced out using at pleather pads, after that, i'd say 35% difference.
 
my conclusion:
S500(w/pads)>S400(stock)>S500(stock)

THanks but i think don't change pads,  i wear AKG k518 in the summer and was a little hot, but i don't found uncomfortable, you 
have said “they burn”, and i think if it burn how akg 518 are ok J

ok then you should be good!
what i recommend now is get the S400, and put the akg518 pads on them.

OK i use ipod classic wihtout amp i see 36 ohm of impendance, i hope it will drive well thanks for advice!
