I currently have a pair of Grado SR 225s driven by a old Sony STR-D711. Funds are limited. So, should I invest some cash in a Gilmore Lite HA with DPS or a pair of Grado RS 1s? Source material on CD is Classical, Soundtracks, 70s/80s Rock, and DVDs. CD player is Sony SCD-CE595 and DVD player is Sony DVP-NS77H.

I would say RS1s. -> if you like grado sound, you're going to end up there anyways

you can always grab a good amp for them later.

That's very true. I don't think I could be happy with any other phone, other than a higher end Grado of course

RS1. even if you're buying RS2, you'll be wondering what RS1 can do - it'll save u $ in long run if you decide to continue this hobby.

Aaaahhh -- just bought new RS1 -- again!

I keep buying and trying and then selling various Grados, and always end up coming back to the RS1.

This time I intend to keep them!

I love these little smilies....

Anyway -- as posted before -- just get the RS1 and be done with it.
