Hey Head-fiers,

I am looking to upgrade my speaker set-up  and I am unsure what I should upgrade.

Currently:  Technics SL-Q3 Turntable (80s, old but in good shape), Bellari VP130 Phono Stage (purchased recently, new tube as well), Dared MP-5 (purchased recently, new tubes already), Athena AS-B1 bookshelves.

Obviously, since I recently purchased (within the last 6 months) the amp and phono stage it seems to be between a new turntable or new bookshelves.  I was also considering adding a new sub to the mix (I would have to use the speaker line-ins on the sub, the dared does not have a sub out).

Kind of treading water here but I would like to spend around 250-300 dollars. 300 being the maximum, I will not spend more than that upgrading.

Thanks in advance for the advice everyone.

you might be better off buying used. with $250-300 will most likely be a side-step than an upgrade. if you're in the US, Audiogon seems to be a good place to buy used hi-fi gear. you can search according to your budget. they also do open Auctions. I'd check daily.
