somehow, this thread has turned morbid. personally, i can understand the attitude of this man, but would not buy from him as i cannot. if i had the money and wanted a good product, i would not mind paying the extra from a store and certainly if i am his type of customer, he will treat me well.

if someone came into my friend's bicycle shop and asked for a 150$ bicycle as if he were running into canadian tyre, he would have to be turned out empty-handed. mind you, my friend also has nothing going over 8000$ so it is not uber high-end, but the analogy is similar i think

You can actually buy a complete system (speakers, amp, cd) for around $1000 at his shop, but he said to a friend of mine to go to HiFi-klubben instead, it was due to that he thought that they had better and more stuff at that pricerange. The funny thing is that on almost every other store the salesman would say that the cheap stuff is VERY good, but in this place he said, they are ok.
