Likewise I have the MEST mk2 from MusicTeck and as usual the service provided by Andrew is second to none.

I already had the 3DT which introduced me to Unique Melody, which of course led to me being unable to resist buying the MEST mk2's.

They are an amazing set of iem's as others with more experience and eloquence than myself have pointed out, they do compete very favourably with far more expensive TOTL iem's.

I have the EE Odin and although the technical ability of the Odin's is superior I find myself reaching for the mk2's more often, there's just something about them that is so addictive and enjoyable.

Cable sure makes the difference. I paired the Mest II with EA Code 51 silver cable and it brought the sound to the next level. Much bigger sound stage and detail retrieval,
dipper bass and much more fun to listen to the music.

Really loving MEST MK2. Dynamic, engaging, full bodied sound. I have a Attila laying around, might as well use it!

Hi MEST MK2 Owners here,

Someone recommended me these iems and I think they are very interesting.

Can someone tell me more impressions about the MEST MK2?

How good is the universal fit?
The custom version is a bit expensive.

I think i have about medium/average size ears.

Currently I am rocking the ISN H40. They fit my ears very well.

How does it perform with heavy metal and rock music?

How big, wide and tall is the sound stage?

How well done is the seperation / holographics?

How forward are the mids? Or do I get a natural layered stage like a real life concert ?

A few reviews state that they would be not fatiguing nor harsh even after hours listening to them, is that true?

Usually I not a fan of two pin sockets because the cables tend to slip out of all my two pin iems.
How well done is the two pin solution on the MEST?

Thx in advance.

Cheers.

Without reading all 233 pages of this thread can other owners tell me if there is a preferred kind/brand of aftermarket cable for the MEST MK1? Or is the factory cable the best? Thanks all.

Sorry for not answering all of your questions,
don't worry about the two pin,
yes, fit & sound, mest mk2 is perfect for you,
my music is mostly rock & metal,
you will cry in happiness if this is your first $1.000+ iem.

I had the Mest OG and still own the H40.
All I can say is Mest smokes the H40 in every possible way and the price difference is more than worth it. You can't go wrong IMO

Eletech & PWaudio is my recomendation,
look for a Copper, SPC, mix (palladium, gold, copper),
avoid a pure silver or graphine/graphite cable,
then pick your favourite cable design,
my favourite cable is 4 core thick white color cable.

MEST mkii has literally ruined watching/reading IEM reviews for me. Every time I can't help but think "but why, when you could get a MEST instead?" lol It's like all the other IEM makers should just go home, the thing has been done already. :xf_wink:

Agreed,
oh, can you do a quick comparison,
Mest Mk2 with Valhalla 2 vs A90 ?

so far I like it more on a warmer source,

thank you, 🙏

The best iem I have is the ISN H40, I really like it but it was just 180$/167€

Can't wait to get my hands on the MEST MK2.

But I have to save up some money for them.

For me it's, the soundstage is big with these two together.
