I’m listening right now and it’s an amazing experience, you can hear sound coming outside head and it’s an immersive listening.😲

the vocal on the Penon Volt is amazing,
how does it compared to the Mk2 ?

thank you,
Very different, Mest Mk2 is more transparent and you can hear a lot of shade better.
Volt is more dense on mids, Mest is linear from bass to highs and play in another league.
With M8 Mest Mk2 pairs better than Volt that prefers colder daps

how about a wide bore tips?
azla sedna standart and short, jvc spiral dot,
my personal favourite tips "Final type E TWS"
@justanut @Scuba Devils @ian91 @Xinlisupreme

Not tried any of those I'm afraid. Currently my preferred tips are tied at CP360 = Xelastecs. The CP360 is slightly warmer than the Xelastecs. The comply just took all life out of the sound. I tried a pair of cut Dekoni foams and they weren't that impressive really, maybe a thicker bass but thats not needed in my opinion.

I think there's a something to be said for the Xelastecs material in its ability to transmit BC signal / create a semi-firm seal thats a synergy very hard to beat imo.

Yes I just finished a focused hour of listening, mind-blowing stuff - the soundstage and timbre are just incredible! Good choice btw with Nicolas Jaar.

I was comparing the bore on the stock earlier, Spirals definitely wider and I suspect they'll be too bright but I must try - much more narrow on the Finals I have, not sure of model but they came with the E5000. I'll try some DUNU later, a nice selection to choose from.

How is the clip supposed to be used? I know it was mentioned in the thread already but I can't find now!

Put the plug end of the cable through the metal loop and run it up close to the body of the IEMs. Use the magnetic clip to attach it to your shirt / t shirt and it can either act as a safety net while they are in incase they come out or as a holder so that they are within reach.

You can wrap the cable around the strip of material and magnetically clip it shut while not in use, for storage.

Excellent, thank you.

This is always very cool with MEST. It's as if there is a torch of sound going circles around your face...

How do you like the Sedna EarFit Lights vs the Xelastecs on the MEST? How about SpiralDots? Just curious.

With the OG MEST, I like a secure fit, preferably a little deeper, but I don’t find that the shell “needs” to touch your ear in order for the BCD to work well.

The clear tips from the ZEN package are the first I will try on Tuesday  you got lucky getting your pair yesterday already. Enjoy it mate.
