Susvara can be bright sounding with some setup but with Odyssey, it's just magic. Bass is so deep and impactful. Saturation of tone is incredible. For me this is perfect. That pair of Tung Sol 6550 from the 60s hasn't been swapped out for a while. I love this power tube and that's saying a lot because it is in the midst of some other incredible power tubes.

Something I haven't been doing lately on a Sat night. Listening to music with Susvara on both Odyssey and Oblivion. It's plug in to Oblivion now. At no time did I think that Oblivion hasn't enough juice to drive Susvara. It's driving it very well.

When Telemachus comes, it will sit where the Rega RP8 is sitting now.

If I didn't take time out, I wouldn't appreciate as much what I am hearing now. I am deeply gratified with what I'm hearing now. If this is the end, I will happily settle back and just enjoy the music.

I heard 'parallel' so I obliged. With Oblivion on the top shelf, I can change tubes easily. Tesla tubes combination in Oblivion. Listening to some lively piano pieces, Oblivion is an outstanding amp and is an incredible value for money. Using cheap 6av6 drivers and EL81 powers, a cheaper price and a 3 star Michelin sound and you know why I am still keeping it since Dec 2019. Will induce in some tube rolling today.

Almost a day has gone by. In between doing other stuff and listening to music. Life is bliss with this combination. Oblivion is 3 years and 3 months now and the enjoyment factor has repaid what I have paid for it. Those Tesla tubes cost - Tesla 6BC32 - ECB91 - 6AV6 drivers : EUR 9.70 a pair ; 6CJ6 - CV2721 powers : GBP 7.10 for 4.
