I am currently own Sennheiser HD558 and looking for a worthwhile upgrade for gaming and movie purpose through PC.  My set-up are Asus Essence STX + Maverick A1.  I went back to local shop asking for testing on Audio-Technica AD-900 but they recommend Ultrasone HF-580 over.  My questions are

1. Which one is better for gaming between those two?  I do prefer positioning audio that can pinpoint the accurate position of enemy for FPS and immerse sound for other type of games.  I would like to hear the sound like it come out of no where in distance, not like just come from the both side of cups. (using with Dolby headphone feature in STX.)

2.  Are those two worthwhile for upgrade from HD558?  Is there enough difference between HD558 and those two that worth enough to spend money on?

My budget is $300 - $600.  Thank you in advance. :)
