Sup guys... so headroom is having a sale on these instead of 99.00 there 55.00 bucks so i might pick up one... now is that a pretty good deal or can they be had elsewhere... im not to informed on the best place to buy headphones so... id appreciate any help

there was a post a few months ago, where a merchant had a coupon deal going for .....$49 or something. but in my experience those kind of deals don't last.

i think $55 is a very good price, and you should grab it will the going is good!

Yes, $55 is a steal for Super.fi 3's. Radio Shack had/has the red version on sale for $50 and there was a coupon someone posted for $10 off making them $40, but I'm not sure if Radio Shack is still selling them.

From reading the reviews on my website, and my experience with the Super Fi.5 and 5EB, my take is grab them if you love detail but aren't a bass-head. I found the 5 bass-shy, and I expect the 3's are similar. The 5EB are fantastic.

I voted no because I think dynamic canl phones sound much better the single armatures. (MylarOne X3i, ATH-CK7, etc)

Well for me my personal choice is the Sennheiser CX 300 which you can get for 3-4 bucks more at amazon

i personally find the cx 300 not as good as the sf3, but i guess its personal preference.

cx300's are pure muddy crap, it has recessed highs and terrible mids...ugh.

well hey thats your choice everybody has a different type of sound that they want Ultimate Ears super.fi 3 did not work for me it had WAY too much treble and highs for me it felt like ipod earphones but worse if DJ Mauler doesn't really care for bass that much than go for it.

You would probably like the Super.fi 5 EBs...but the cx300's aren't that great, I used to think so, but when I realized that detail was nice to have, then that's when I wanted something new.

yea maybe but i would have to save up alot for Super.fi 5 EBs
