Hi, I'm in the UK and want some UE11 but if I order direct from the US I would imagine I'll have to pay VAT etc so I see that Thomann in europe take orders in GBP. Does anyone have any experience with them? Do I have to send my impressions direct to them and then they deal with UE? Thanks!

As do handheld audio in the UK. You ship the impressions to them. They deal with UE and VAT. any problems they deal with UE also

No probelm, when I got mine it worked out cheaper to get them direct form UE. Now with the exchange rate shipping and Import duty they are a lot cheaper from Handheldaudio

The exchange rate and shipping and duties and such should be making people take serious notice of the ACS T1 IEM as a competitor to the UE models.

A bit off topic but Duggeh, how did you manage to get a DAS-R1?

I have a set of SuperFREQs and I love them to bits, albeit the fit on the left earpiece has never been quite as perfect as the one on the right.

Are the UE-10s and UE-11s significantly better would people say? Any comparisons available?

I bought it from Spritzer. If you want some better pics than that have a look here: Index of /bunf/Sony DAS-R1

the ACS T1 look interesting...

they must be so much more comfortable compared to UE11 due to silicon material used throughout.

the headphone jack is so much different than other IEMs which have plasticky compact jacks.

Edit: oh..i had an interconnect with similar symbol on the jack..which company is that anyone knows?
