Apple's "new" models are really the same with different "dressings" applied...I mean come on, there is not a hell of a big difference in the ipod between generations other than that they corrected the major flaws slowly over time (battery being the biggest).
The Koreans pump out the hardware, yes, but as austonia rightly said, most of it is just bland crap. The Karma's interface is second to none (better than the ipod's IMHO) and the support has been there from the RIO engineers on riovolution.com.
The major flaws with the Karma were lack of options for the device (no case a big one) and the fact that they created a remote control but never finished developing it or selling it...
IMHO, there is not a better music DAP on the market right now and probably will not be unitl the Chroma is released.
