/Believe it or not, those RE2000 actually sound really good, even if we consider their price!

I mean, of course, they will be hard to afford, but they will sound unbelievably good!
Yes i believe you , for $2000 they definitely have to provide something good because they cannot tag a $2000 sticker on a $20 iem,

are you doing a review of the X7ii? I read your comparison of the DX200 and X7ii but can not find the X7ii review.

I'm really behind with so many reviews... New stuff comes in every other week, and it becomes physically impossible to get to everything since this is not my full time job, just a hobby :) My goal is to get to everything before the end of the year. The question now if I should start writing shorter reviews, but I don't want to compromise the quality.

You do a great job on your reviews and agree you should not compromise just to get them out. I was just curious if you had plans on doing the X7ii review. Im still on the fence between the two but im leaning more towards the X7ii as it seems it would be better for tidal and has more storage. You also not that they are not night 'n' day difference in sound.

Just to let you know the RE2000 has the pins reversed vs normal cables, so you are listening to them out of phase with the cable installed as pictured. I was doing this initially but tested the stock cable and it is indeed reveresed vs most other 2-pin cables. This does alter the sound, so try it the other way around, but unfortunately cables with ear guides do not work well with the RE2000 :frowning2:

Oscar, from my experience, phasing effect happens usually when one side is reversed. But as long as both sides are flipped, in balanced cable it doesn't matter? I will try it with re2k, but I haven't noticed any phasing effect, especially when I went through half a dozen of cables in my re2k review. But let me double check.

With balanced armatures it doesn't affect it as much (I don't think, don't take my word for it), but a dynamic driver needs to push the air in the right direction:

Oscar, to confirm, I just tried RE2000 with 3 different DAPs and 2 different balanced cables - the sound it identical if I flip both 2pin connectors. The only time I hear a phasing effect, as expected, when I only reverse the polarity of one plug (not both).
