I recently purchased a turtle beach audio advantage micro ii and found that with the default drivers that windows automatically installs, it is way too loud. Even after installing the drivers from their website, the steps in volume are too much. Has anyone else had this problem and is there an easy fix?

I have this exact card, and here is what you have to do to fix that:

Windows 7

Control Panel --> Sound --> USB Sound Device (the Turtle Beach Card) --> Select "Properties"

Under the "Custom" tab should be a button for Loudness. Uncheck the box and apply. Your sound is now much quieter. :D

Thanks! This helped. I wonder if there's something similar for OS X

I know im a little late here, but im the same boat as you. The volume is too loud even on the lowest setting.

Im curious to know if you managed to solve this?

To get past the problem I've been connecting my turtlebeach to my airhead amp through an auxiliary cable. Off the airhead I'm able to control the volume and lower it.
