As the title reads... I am considering getting a tube DAC to go with my burson headphone amp.  not sure which are the best in the sub $1000 range.  I don't what the sound to be too warm and fuzzy.  Deep and lush sound is fine but I still want the detail and resolution.  Is it a case of 1 or the other?  I really prefer to just have 1 rig for the time being.

I have the Eastern Electric Dac ($750) and it is great. I run it with an Onkyo D-type amp. There is a review on 6moons of the EE dac and one on Headphonista.

I have the EE Minimax DAC paired with a Dynahi. Sounds awesome. Adds a little bit of tube magic with the benefits of SS amplification, kind of like a hybrid solution.
