I just recently moved and can't play my loudspeakers any longer.   I have been told the HiFiMAN HE-6 are a good choice for hi-end headphones.   I contacted the dealer in Torrance, CA & they don't have demo models & only sell them new in the box.    I'm not going to purchase these expensive headphones without listening to them first.

I live in Huntington Beach in Orange County Calif & am also close to L.A.

Would there be anyone out there that has this headphone, who wouldn't mind letting me hear what they sound like?

Thanks,
Bob

You should try posting in a HiFiMAN thread. Just a FYI, they are ridiculously hard to drive. I had more trouble driving them than K1000s. BOTTLEHEAD S.E.X. amp is really good at driving them.

It is my understanding they are beasts to drive.  Need lots of watts.  At least 2 WPC minimum;  4 or more would be ideal.  I passed on them and went to Senn HD800s as my Burson HA160D would have run out of room when cranked up.  Whatever you look at, make sure it has plenty of juice.  Try Hifiman themselves.  If they can't sell you one of their own amps they ought to be able to suggest some other market possibilities.  They probably have experience with.  Or try consulting a Hifiman dealer.
