Some time ago I noticed the highs on my left ear started sounding weird. I noticed it after getting my Fostex T20RP-Mk3, so at first I thought it was them but was too lazy to actually make sure it was the phones and nothing else, for warranty sake.
It's not a super obvious problem, it comes at times and is mostly present when listening to speech, and can easily be avoided by lowering the volume (on the source, Youtube, music player et.c.)
It's like some high frequencies distort or something, on one channel, left.
I did try my HD650 on the amp to see if it was the phones as I thought but it wasn't that obvious if the problem was gone or not.

How ever, today I tried to connect the phones to my Focusrite Scarlet and the problem was gone, so my conclusion it that it is the Little Dot.
Might it be a tube? Bad connection in the tube sockets, could this be from the fact that I have the amp set at high impedance (gain 10) and the Fostex are 50 Ohms while the HD650 are 300 Ohms? Probably not as the problem is only in my left ear, right?

If it is the tubes, does this sound like preamp or power tube issues?

What to do, where to start?

Thanks
/Alex
