I ve got email from NuForce
"As recently announced, the NuForce NE-770X earphones retail for $49. I really didn't like the NE 770s that much.  I personally think 25 bucks is fine for them, but there is still a better value out there (even when they are priced at 25) :/  The 700s were a lot better and miles ahead of the 770s.  Just my thoughts on it.

I thought the 770 were an upgrade on the 700. I think the 700 were worth 80$ or more, so 25$ for its birthchild doesn't seem too bad (haven't heard them though).

Hi neuheadfi, I went ahead with the trade-in last week for my NE-7M, and so far have been disappointed with the 770X. I'm no expert audiophile, but to me they sound flat (no real stage) and the mid-high range is harsh. I only burnt them in for 20hrs or so, but I don't have high hopes... :/ I contacted Nuforce about it - hopefully I just got a bad pair they can replace.
