TPA6120 amp group buy

Asking for people to join on a group buy to solder 0406 parts is, well, futile. Why would you want to do that? Change it to larger size. Really, 1206 is the smallest size you can be reasonably comfortable with. I designed my board for TPA and have used it for months (just received the second version) and I use 0805 but could've used 1206 everywhere if I had a bit more space.

Besides, anyone who knows what 0406 is and can solder it has probably already designed their own board...

I agree. I believe most people should be able to solder 0805 with a bit of practice, but of course 1206 is much easier. I haven't tried 0603 or 0402 yet - one look was enough to scary me away

I think most of the folks I know on Head-Fi will tell you the same thing - 1205 is easy, 0805 is doable, smaller that that is asking for trouble. The photos on your website look very professional, but it needs to be buildable by humans.

I will use 0805 parts and the IC's will have 50 mil spacing. That will be doable. The most difficult part with SMD is parts with more than two connections, such as IC's. Even I have small problems with 0.63 mm parts!

Depending of interest I may offer soldered TPA6120 but I'll won't promise anything.
