The U4SE holds its own against U18 especially with the m15 apex module. Having said that the details, clarity, resolution is noticeably more in U18. And the U18 extends in the highs and lows too than U4SE. the extension at both the ends is quite awesome and is never out of control. The 8 drivers for the low and and the tia for the highs are definitely at play here. The U4SE is a special one from 64audio and according to them, it is a true audiophile iem . It definitely shows. It definitely is a poor man's U18. If I remember it correctly, the U4SE has a a unique arrangement where in the audio passes through the ADEL/APEX module before being let out into the ear canal. With m15 the U4SE opens up the mids and the highs.

I was talking to Alex and Vitaliy from 64 Audio and they had this to say about the design:

The design challenge that we had was to keep the product dual-bore. In response to this, we came up with a unique “merge” feature
that combines the ADEL/Apex pressure relief channel with the Low and Mid drivers sound bore.
Because of the extremely close proximity of the module to the transducers, this design enables maximum reduction of
air pressures created by the Low Frequency drivers.

Very good prices on both Forte and U18. Have to decide which one I want to get.
