I have noticed that Foobar2000 needs a lot of RAM memory to run flawlessly??

For 2 times the system "froze" while running Foobar2000. All the programs stopped, including F2K. Anyone confirms it? My laptop has 8GB of RAM installed.

All 3 of my systems run foobar 2k and my two primary listening systems have 4GB. Never run out of memory or freezing in years of use. I would look to other setting to see what is using the memory. And other issues to see what is causing the freezing.

The only thing I did was to set the "buffer length" from 1000ms to 1500ms for tests, but I'm not sure if by doing that the system could "freeze".

Buffer length is back to 1000ms...

The 2009 and 2023 version had been branded by their respective vendors, but worked well. The 3072 version (from the private message) was the stock XMOS version without modifications and also worked well.

I hooked up the Topping D30 to my MacBook running Audirvana Plus and tried to stream DSD audio from Tidal but no joy. I tried to follow the below steps to enable DSD but the "To DSD" option is not enabled -

Hello,
It might be a weird question, but did anyone try to hook up D30 to either Tv to listen/watch NETFLIX stream or to the xbox ONE S ?
I have a very bad experience with Wolfson WM8524 based DAC on these sources, even when I set stereo output on xbox S/PDIF.
So, my main doubts are:
1. Will D30 work well with NETFLIX and xbox ones?
2. Could D30 down-mix multichannel sources to stereo automatically?

conclusion: Here the difference is quite pronounced. S/PDIF has noticeably higher noise floor to the tune of 13 to 14 db! So if you are worried about noise, S/PDIF interface has more of it with this DAC.
