I am kind of jumping into this headphone thing with both feet and the 2 Amps I just bought are the McIntosh MHA-150 and the Sennheiser HD820. I really want a headphone tube amplifier and looking for thoughts on one up towards the top of the food chain...?
I would like to first mention that the Woo WA11 does not have any tubes and is solid-state, but I heard that it is sound-tuned to be “tube-like”, at least to popular reviewer Steve Gutenberg.
Jack Woo should have at least one of each model pre-built and ready-to-go, unless he states that the model has an ETA or is back-ordered. However, shipping time can vary greatly.
I will call them and see what they have built if anything and go from there. I should be content actually as my McIntosh MHA-150 does arrive in the am on Monday from Crutchfield.

It looks like the WA11 is in stock and the WA5 is BTO, or built to order, and will take 2-3 weeks. During that time, you can ask Jack Woo about what tubes are best for the HD820 and see if he can bundle the tubes with the WA5. Also, you can PM @HiFiGuy528 any questions right now, as his sponsor is Woo Audio.
I have the WA33s and they sound absolutely amazing with my TCs and Utopias. I just have the normal version. I can't imagine what the Elite Edition sounds like
It sounds very nice - there is plenty of power, using 16Ohm taps and it is very controlled. Ultimately a big step up. What is interesting with the i300 is the very low noise floor - hence in summary very good

WA5 sure trips my fancy I must say. I see it does come with 300B Tubes but they offer a upgraded and better quality 300B for the WA5 for about $2000.00 What is that all about?

Just a heads up. I'm considering selling my Woo Audio WA33 Elite, with upgraded tubes, in case anyone has any interest. Going to be investing in a full speaker system, so unfortunately I think something is going to have to go.
