Another amp to consider is this beasty: http://aries-cerat.eu/products/amplifiers/genus

It's huge and the headphone socket is round the back.

I just pulled the trigger on this and know need to cease fire for awhile..:)

So...how is the stuff that just shipped working, like the MHA-150 and HD820?

Well quite honestly it still is not hooked up yet but will hope to get to it soon..

The top end amp I have, I have compared to other amps, and it has beat out many at a fraction of the price.

Hi there, I have made the decision that I will be buying "ONE" power cord only and will share it among the 3 Amps as I would never be using more then one at a time anyways. I am looking to drop about 2500 or so on a really nice one but not sure would be best in the price range...?

If you really want to spend money for the sake of spending money, go ahead. Otherwise, any reasonably constructed higher gauge power cord will do.

Upgrading tubes would be a far better investment.

@PatekBruguetMogul

Congratulations! on your new WA5. A couple of notes before the amp arrives and you set it up.

- 300B tube have FOUR pins, two are smaller. Pay close attention during installation to match the small pins and big pins to the socket on the amp. Get this wrong and the amp may be damaged. We made a tube installation video for WA33 which is similar to WA5. Please take a moment to review the video.

- Power OFF the amplifier BEFORE changing the setting on "HP Power" switch (on the left side). For most headphones and your HD820, LO is best.
