I keep a separate list of greatest songs, as distinct from greatest "tracks". The tracks would be songs where the performance/recording is the most important thing. Among my greatest songs, six would be:
"Someone To Watch Over Me" (George & Ira Gershwin)
"Shipbuilding" (Elvis Costello & Clive Langer)
"Here, There and Everywhere" (Paul McCartney)
"My Funny Valentine" (Richard Rogers & Lorenz Hart)
"America" (Paul Simon)
"The Last Time I Saw Richard" (Joni Mitchell)
Jackie evancho-nessun dorma
Jackie evancho-time to say goodbye
Led zepplin-stairway to heaven
Bad company-shooting star

Thats what comes off the top of my head as my favorites so hard to choose honestly...
