Oh hell, Procol Harum's "Barnyard Story" ("God's aloft, the winds are raging. God's aloft, the winds are cold ...", with a background chorus of "Piggy, Pig, Pig, Piggy, Pig, Pig, ..."). Sublime!

Good topic. Having been to three funerals already this year, I do wonder what would be the acceptable music for my own. The issue is, would they allow the music I pick at that place whereever that is?

For fun -- Na Na He He Goodbye
For the believers -- Someday We Will Be Together
For the non-believers -- When I Will See You Again?

My sincere one -- A Song For You

The fifth one : I still have time to work on this one, right?

"Time of Your Life" - Green Day

Or (can't believe no one has mentioned it yet) "Time to Save Goodbye" - Andrea Bocelli

Elvis doing Blue Moon.

Moonlight Mile...

Frowning Atahuallpa by Tyrannosaurus Rex..

Astral Weeks.

and I guess A Day In the Life would be nice.

Then again, I suppose the music selection won't really bother me. They'd probably be glad to not have some of us bitch about poor speaker placement.

This one should depend on the manner in which one dies as well
Saturday Night Special by skynyrd and Baby Got Back by Sir Mixalot would be appopriate if I get shot because I was caught in an affair.

Flying High Again by Ozzy if I die in most any manner involving drugs and high velocities

That all said Good Riddance by Green Day is good funeral music
