No favorite bands, only this single performance fills my heart and soul.

1.KING CRIMSON c.1973-74 trio/4tet

Nothing like them. Angular guitarist. Mean Bassist with a scary tone. Drummer rewriting every part at every live gig - playing polyrhythms, polymeters and displacing beats on command!
They collectively improvise half the time. We don't get music like this on display no more...

2. Radiohead. Thom on vocals and Jon Jon aggressive guitar. Nuff said.

3. Nina Simone. No? Ok. Nirvana if she can't count.

There are so many great bands and there are so many style s I listen to so this is not an easy question to answer.

Last 12 years would be: 1. As I Lay Dying, 2. Ceremony (Shoegaze band), 3. Adept or I Killed The Prom Queen.

All time favs: 1. Devo, 2. Rush,3. Iron Maiden or Steely Dan

Top 3 bands? Don't know as I can list them, though depends on the criteria, I suppose. Top 3 songs I could probably list, because I like specific songs. Bands make some good songs, some not so good, and, most of the time, some I dislike, so it's hard to pick a favourite band for me.
