Not the music, the prank they pulled over all of us. It's clearly Tool, it's obviously not Tool's masterpiece that we will see on May 2nd.

While it's 'speculation', they obviously wrote 2 albums and leaked this one.

At the same time, Kabir @ Toolshed is in on the joke too. Once this decoy leaked, he says that he forgot to post his review of 10,000 days, and that he put it up. Oh sure, right after the leak spreads and EVERYONES heard it, he decides to post the review that he convieniently forgot to put up earlier?

Brilliant, Tool. Fooled most of the internet!

Although it's pretty funny that Tool's decoy album still beats most of the other stuff released now adays.

They made a brilliant fake? That sounds wicked.

Even though everyone is psyched I'll still wait for the CD release.

Jambi and vicarious kick ass, the pot is a little strange in how the lyrics start out, but it builds nicely. Overall, this is sweet, been waiting 5 years for this.

lol. spoken like a true tool fan. maybe if you bothered to look beyond the mainstream...do you think they would actually play something 'original' or 'innovative' on the radio?

^^ I have to agree with steel102, if you want originality and innovation the radio/mainstream is the last place to look to. That said, I'm a huge Tool fan and while I've found bands that go well above and beyond Tool in certain areas, I still keep coming back to Tool and it still sounds fresh. Every great band eventually gets covered in hype some time or another, Tool are no different.

By the way, speaking of The Pot, my new favourite Tool song, dodgy vocals with kickass riffs, reminds me so much of Undertow! Damn I love this album, seems to have aspects of their previous albums but in doing so creates an utterley unique character of its own thats going to require repeated listening to fully comprehend, just like every other Tool album. All I need now are the lyrics in my hands; can't wait till May!

It sounds like a lot of people were/are assuming this is a fake because tool has done this sort of thing in the past. However, perhaps the trick is making everyone believe they are attempting to trick us. Regardless of whether or not this is the real cd (I believe it is), they've certainly achieved the goal of stirring up interest.

Indeed. I know I will be buying the album regardless if it is the same one I heard a few days ago.
