TIP: How to search head-fi when search is down

Did you know you can still search head-fi even while search is down? This method isn't good as head-fi's own search, but it should give you the fix you need.

Go to google and type in [your search subject] site:www5.head-fi.org

Those who use Google Toolbar (for IE only) already know.....

google toolbar is a bless! Got a wonderfull popup blocker too.

But IE with google toolbar and the registry hack is much faster...

Opera has it too. However Google toolbar is more sophisticated. Google should release the Firefox version too.

No problem. I been using it ever since I got here and got tired of reading "search is down" posts every other day.

Firefox owns any browser. definetely check it out. much better internet surfing than IE + you can mod custom skins. there are tons of features that microsoft will hesistate to put on IE.

Thanks gort. It doesn't use any of the resources here, and gives us the ability to do searches whenever we want. Cool.
