Did you know you can still search head-fi even while search is down? This method isn't good as head-fi's own search, but it should give you the fix you need.

Go to google and type in [your search subject] site:www5.head-fi.org

Enjoy

For those who use Firefox, you don't need an add-on, it comes as default

Opera has it too. However Google toolbar is more sophisticated. Google should release the Firefox version too.

As all the other Firefox users have posted, we have one too
I just didn't think of using it to search for topics in head-fi.

No problem. I been using it ever since I got here and got tired of reading "search is down" posts every other day.

Thanks gort. It doesn't use any of the resources here, and gives us the ability to do searches whenever we want. Cool.
