Hey there I'm new to this so here goes.
I love mostly reggae r&b and hip hop (stay with me).
The issue I have is that my music has lots of bass so I don't see the need to go for a headphone targeted at bassheads.
At present I'm leaning towards the dt770 but am open to advice.
What I'm looking for is a high quality closed back headphone under £200 that will make the most of my urban tunes without drowning them with bass a la dre beats.

perhaps take a look at audio-technica a900x ?
i use it unamped on my pc and it's not for purist bassheads but it's got a decent sound including bass... the bass doesn't hit you extremely hard and it's definitely not solid enough for bassheads but the bass is present enough to where you notice it.
more of a studio crisp bass than a grimy car stereo bump.

just something to check out at least, if others can give you more options.

here's an example of a song anyone testing bass on their headphones should listen to (in my humble opinion), this song owns so hard... and i'm listening to it right now on those and it's kicking some ass with a crisp bass sound . haha.
bassnectar has some sick remixes.

The ATH WS99 is the best I've heard at r&b and hip hop. The mids give them a warm signature, and the bass is top notch. Highs are recessed, but r&b and hip hop don't really rely on those frequencies like rock. Get the ath ws99.
