You still havent told us what is your definition of "better". An amplifier does what it supposed to do, Amplify a signal, if you are not happy with a flat FR amplifier than you need to tell us what you want.

Better in SQ and hopefully output. Now, as I mentioned in the previous post, you may think amps sound the same, but I would strongly disagree.

do you realize "better" is a relative term? I never claim all amps soudn the same....

if you cant articulate what better mean, then none of us can help you but suggest you try every amp.

Ok here we go.....an amp with better resolution. I think we all know better resolution when we here it. Soundstage is a little more subjective. Tonal balance is too, but the ability of the amp to sound more realistic and resolve the music better is what I am looking for.

I have the RME ADI 2 dac and THX 789 just like you, both of these have tested very well and I consider both to be very neutral, the ADI has the eq you can use to fine tune for the sound your looking for. Why spend more?

these are all relative term....do you want more bass, mids or treble...warmth or analytical sounding? because a THX 789 by chart is completely flat....

The resolution isn't good enough? Does that mean it turns 18 kHz sine waves into 18 kHz square waves?

Not that the resolution isn't good enough. It's that I would like to maybe have an amp with even better resolution. Hell it seems many here are always trying to improve on the sound. This whole forum is dedicated to those trying to getting not only a different tonal balance but a more realistic sound.

I agree with everyone else and say, the THX amp is a killer for its price range hands down.

@mixman well here we go :) $1500 to $2000 okay lets do this! Not messing around !!

Headamp GSX-MINI $1800

Schitt Ragnarok 2 TBA --- Most likely $2000 ish or less.

WA22 (2nd gen) - Yea thats right lets tube this up! $2400 (Like you dont have an extra $400 lying around)

Bryston BHA-1 - $2000 (Equal or better or worst or better again than the mini)

Questyle CMA800R - $2000

Master 9 - $1500 (Meh...)

Lets get the Best AMP/DAC combos

Benchmark Dac 3 -- $2100
Mytek Brooklyn Dac + -- $2100
Sony TA-ZH1ES - $2000

Can be argue that the Dac 3 or Dac + is better than THX + RME combine? Expensive thou

Let's go crazy and throw a GS-X MK2 in there. A good amp shouldn't color the sound.

hes asking for $1500 to $2000.

Jeez come on...

Well let be just put the Chord DAVE out. Its only 10K....... ............
