Haha yeah I never thought of that before. But I kind of wanted the Audio Technica A900X... hard choice. I might have to go somewhere and compare them.

Used Audio Technica ATH-A900X on eBay, current bid is $82.

I'm typing this while listening to Billie Piper with my O2 amp and A900X :)

Yeah, but the reserve hasn't been met yet. Plus that thing looks a little bit too beat up for my taste.

They do not look beat up to me, but could use a dusting,
Still think you should make a bid, worst thing that happens is someone out bids you.
Or you could win some very nice sounding headphones for a fair price.

Nice price for COP. Better then the a900x if you want to take them out and about.

Do you own the Beyer COPS?
If so, now do you like them?

Not personally. I have read a lot of reviews on them and I feel the dt770s will probably outshine the COPs on sound alone. The COPs are very close though and have many features the on the go headphone guy would want. The a900x's headband type is very annoying and would not be good for on the go IMO. I hate the wings style headbands and feel they just dont work well for keeping a good clamp on your head. I may be ordering a pair after the holidays, but I still might end up getting the dt770s as my buddies pair just sound so good ^_^.

With the right kind of headphone amplifier (very low impedance), to me the A900Xs have a better sound quality then my DT770 80-Ohm & 250-Ohm.
I think with the A900X's wings, you need to hold them down for long periods of time (over night) to improve the "metal memory" of the springs.

Thats good to hear. I was talking dt770 vs the COP. I have not heard the a900x but have used the style of headband they use. They just feel way loose. Its good to see that there is a way to help with the wings though. I will keep that in mind for people that ask about it. Seems to be a major complaint about the design.
