my new DAC was delivered a little while ago, so i ran home from work (literally, it's a five minute walk back home) to put it inside my apartment since i don't trust my neighbors. i had time to take it out of the box and set it up to verify function, but no time to listen to it. i won't get home until 8:00 and it sucks. i have to say this, though, North Star knows how to make some good looking gear!

[edit: i got stuck between saying "until 8:00" and "for another 4 hours", and it ended up being "until 4:00." my whining makes more sense now

It is a lovely looking piece of kit. hi-fi world had a review of this DAC and it's CDP brother and it came through with flying colours.
Keep us updated on your impressions. When you finally get to hear it, that is.
