hello.

i have been trying to find a place to demo my first headphone amp to use with my senn 600's

i found out there is a place right near me that has the grado headphone amp in stock and i can borrow one to demo it at home.

i will have nothing to compare this to other than using my headphones with the built in headphone jack on various cd players and receivers...

how can i compare this and can i get some feedback on this amp/headphone combo?

thanks

matthew

I had used the RA-2 with HD600's and thought they were a good match.

I used the Grado RA-1 with Senn 580's and 600's. IMO this is a very good combination. If you have a chance to borrow one to demo it at home, I'd say go for it!

The RA-1/HD600 combo sounds great. Very clear and open.

The RA-1 and the HD-600 make up my main listening combo and I'm a happy camper!

Agreed. The RA-1 and Senn 580/600 pair up great together. The only downside seems to be shorter battery life. I think it might be because the Grado amp was meant to drive low impedance cans in the first place.
